Job Summary

Nacha governs the thriving ACH Network, the payment system that drives safe, smart, and fast Direct Deposits and Direct Payments with the capability to reach all U.S. bank and credit union accounts.  The ACH Network Development department supports Nacha’s mission to improve and expand the use of ACH payments.  Currently, the department is focused on a Corporate Outreach Strategy that engages, educates, and obtains input from the ACH user community; the Phixius payment information network; and other standards that affect the use of ACH payments, including ISO 20022 and API standards.  The Director of ACH Network Development will support the department’s engagement and product development activities. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Manages internal and external resources for completion of program supported projects within established timelines.
  • Performs business analyst functions such as developing requirements and performing industry analysis.
  • Assists cultivation of key stakeholders, including corporate ACH users, payment processors, technology companies and financial service providers– and serves as relationship manager for designated customers and industry groups.
  • Manages department information resources and content, including websites, outbound communications initiatives, and related collateral.
  • Responds to inbound requests and questions related to department projects and initiatives. 

Contacts

  • Internal:  Extensive contact with department senior directors, the associate managing director, and other departments within Nacha as may be required.
  • External:  Industry contact with corporate ACH community and department product prospects and customers, as well as Nacha’s membership of financial institutions and Payment Associations.

  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Self-starter with a well-developed aptitude for time management, leading, building, and participating in teams.
  • Ability to interact with others professionally and respectfully with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None at this time.

Working Conditions

Some domestic travel is required.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and light lifting of boxes may occur. This would require the ability to lift files/boxes, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

 

Required Qualifications

Required Background / Minimum Qualifications

College degree and work experience in the association, financial services, or technology industry preferred, with demonstrated content, program, or project management skills.  Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience preferably in banking industry.
