Regional Payments Associations
Covering the entire United States, Puerto Rico,
Virgin Islands, and Guam, the Regional Payments
Associations are, in most cases, not-for-profit
trade associations whose main membership includes
the banks and credit unions within their territory.
One might consider the Regional Payments
Associations, the "grassroots" providers of payments
system leadership and support. Although each of the
Regional Payments Associations is a separate
organization, there are a number of key membership
deliverables that provide a common link: ACH Rules
interpretation and operational support, payments
system education, marketing support and guidance,
and publication sales.
